I think that if I was ever to set about planning a bunch of Boston tours, at least one or two of them would have to be Boston tours of the great drinking establishments! I’ve heard of Boston tours of great political locations, Boston tours of homes of sports figures, and Boston tours of the parks, but never of a drinking tour!
Think of it! Boston tours by bus. See the great sights, stop for a pint. Go for a great show at the end, and have a whiskey. These would be the most popular Boston tours ever! I would just have to make sure that there were designated sober people to help if people start drinking too much, and then, of course, there would have to be liability waivers in case of alcohol poisoning.
Boston tours of the great drinking locations could be a lot of fun, but there is definitely a concern for things getting out of hand, the bus getting wrecked, the staff assaulted, and the clients getting lost along the way, but I do believe that these types of Boston tours are doable.
I have some friends in the area who are sober, responsible individuals, and I think that I could get them to help me plan these Boston tours and make sure all the necessary precautions are taken to make sure that everyone has a great party on wheels without things getting out of hand.
I will have to look into gaining the permits to serve alcohol on the bus. I am not sure if this is legal or not, but it sounds like a fun business model, and I think it is worth putting a little time into seeing if it is a viable option. We will see what happens!
